This policy explains what personal data Rockit Transport Services & Logistics ("Rockit", "we") collects when you visit www.rockit-transport.com, contact us, or respond to our advertising on LinkedIn, and how we use and protect it.

Who we are

Rockit Transport Services & Logistics is the controller of your personal data.

What we collect

  • Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, country, and anything you write in a message or form, for example cargo type, shipping lane, dimensions and dates.

  • LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms: when you submit one of our forms on LinkedIn, LinkedIn shares the fields shown on that form with us (typically name, work email, company, job title, country and your answers to our questions).

  • Shipment information: when we quote for or handle a shipment, the commercial and documentary details needed to do so, such as consignee and shipper contacts and customs documents.

  • Technical data: our website is hosted by Wix, which records standard usage data (such as IP address, browser and pages visited) and sets cookies needed to run the site and measure traffic. LinkedIn may also record ad interactions under its own policies.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotations and send you the resources you requested, such as our Heavy-Lift Checklist.

  • To provide and document freight, customs and logistics services.

  • To meet legal, customs and tax obligations.

  • To send occasional updates about our services if you agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

  • To understand how our website and advertising perform, in aggregate.

We rely on your consent (for marketing and form submissions), on taking steps to enter into or perform a contract with you (quotations and shipments), on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, and on legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • service providers who host or process data for us, such as Wix (website), LinkedIn (lead forms and advertising) and our email provider;

  • carriers, agents, ports, customs brokers and authorities, where needed to move your cargo or clear it through customs;

  • authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these parties are outside Egypt, including in the European Union and the United States. Where data leaves the country it was collected in, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and lead data for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for no more than 24 months after our last contact unless you become a client. We keep shipment and accounting records for as long as Egyptian law requires.

Your rights

Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;

  • correct or update it;

  • delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it;

  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;

  • receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, email inquiry@rockit.com.eg. We will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Cookies

Our website uses one marketing cookie, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which helps us measure our LinkedIn advertising and show our ads to people who visited our site. It loads only if you click Accept in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time in your cookie settings. LinkedIn processes this data under its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work without essential cookies.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version, with its effective date, is always on this page.
