Vessel tracking

Enter a ship's IMO or MMSI number to see where it is right now on the live AIS map, with its recent track and destination.

How it works

See the ship your cargo is on.

Enter a ship’s IMO number (seven digits) or MMSI (nine digits) and the map shows its live AIS position, recent track and reported destination, centred on the Suez Canal, the eastern Mediterranean and the Red Sea — the water most of our customers’ cargo crosses.

IMO number or MMSI — which should I use?

The IMO number is permanent for the hull and has a check digit; the MMSI is the ship’s radio identity and can change when it changes flag. Either finds the vessel.

Why is the position old or missing?

AIS is picked up by shore stations and satellites. Ships far from any receiver, or with AIS switched off in some waters, show their last received position with its time. Check back rather than assume a delay.

How do I find which ship carries my container?

The carrier’s tracking page, reached from our container checker, names the vessel and voyage for the current leg. Paste that ship’s name or IMO number here.

Where next

Ship due at an Egyptian port?

We can pre-clear the cargo before the vessel berths so it leaves the terminal on the first available truck.
